The journal supports the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of such technologies while maintaining the integrity, originality, accuracy, and reliability of scholarly work.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to use AI technologies in a manner consistent with accepted standards of research integrity, publication ethics, and professional responsibility.
Authors may use generative AI tools for limited assistance during manuscript preparation, including:
The use of AI tools should not compromise the originality, accuracy, or integrity of the manuscript.
Authors must disclose the use of generative AI tools within the manuscript when such tools have contributed to the preparation of the submission.
The following statement may be used where appropriate:
Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the journal, including text, data, analyses, interpretations, citations, and conclusions.
The use of AI tools does not transfer responsibility from authors to any software, platform, or technology provider.
Generative AI systems, large language models (LLMs), chatbots, and similar technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Only individuals who meet the journal’s authorship criteria may be credited as authors.
AI systems cannot assume responsibility for the content of a manuscript, approve a final version for publication, disclose conflicts of interest, or accept accountability for published work.
The following uses of AI are considered unacceptable:
Any misuse of AI that compromises research integrity or publication ethics may result in editorial action.
Reviewers and editors must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
