Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Behavioral Social and Movement Sciences (IJOBSMS) welcomes the submission of original, high-quality, and unpublished scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Exercise Sciences, and Human Movement Sciences, including interdisciplinary research that demonstrates a clear and substantive relationship with the journal’s defined scope.

Authors are encouraged to review these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts to ensure compliance with the journal’s editorial, ethical, and publication requirements.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate English using the recommended structure:

Title Page & Abstract Details

Title Page: Must include full manuscript title, all author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, and corresponding author details with email.

Abstract & Keywords: Provide a clear abstract summarizing objectives, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions. Provide 4 to 6 keywords below the abstract.

Formatting, References & ORCID

Tables, figures, and charts must be numbered consecutively with descriptive captions and cited in text. References must be accurate, formatted consistently, and include DOIs where available.

Authors are strongly encouraged to provide ORCID iDs to support accurate researcher identification and discoverability.

Authorship & AI Tools Policy

Authorship is limited to those making substantial contributions. All authors must approve final submission. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Any material use of AI tools for writing, language assistance, or data analysis must be explicitly disclosed in the manuscript.

Research Ethics & Plagiarism
Human/animal studies require approval from competent ethics committees/IRBs. Submissions undergo similarity software screening. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, or misconduct will lead to immediate rejection under COPE guidelines.
Statements & Declarations

Conflict of Interest: Must disclose any financial/personal relationships, or state none exist.

Funding: Disclose all financial support sources and grant numbers.

Data Availability: Provide a statement describing data accessibility.

Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly relevance, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and scope alignment.

Open Access & Licensing: Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright in their work while granting IJOBSMS the right of first publication.
