Responsibilities of Authors
All authors listed on a manuscript must:

- Participate in resolving any questions related to the manuscript
- Disclose any conflicts of interest or financial relationships
- Ensure compliance with ethical research standards
Corresponding Author Responsibilities
The corresponding author is responsible for:
- Managing all communication with the journal during submission, peer review, and publication
- Ensuring all co-authors approve the final manuscript
- Confirming that all authors meet authorship criteria
- Handling revisions and editorial correspondence on behalf of all authors
Types of Unacceptable Authorship Practices
IJOBSMS strictly prohibits unethical authorship practices, including:
- Guest authorship (adding individuals who did not contribute significantly)
- Ghost authorship (excluding individuals who made substantial contributions)
- Gift or honorary authorship
- Unauthorized addition or removal of authors
- Misrepresentation of author contributions
Changes in Authorship
Any changes to authorship (addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors) after submission must be:
- Requested in writing by the corresponding author
- Approved by all listed authors
- Justified with valid reasons
- Approved by the editorial office
Authorship changes after acceptance or publication are generally not permitted except under exceptional circumstances.
Ethical Compliance
Authors must ensure that all contributors who meet authorship criteria are properly credited, and that no individual is included as an author without meeting the required standards.
