Collaborative learning has emerged as an effective instructional approach that encourages students to engage actively with peers, exchange ideas, and develop higher-order thinking skills. As educational institutions increasingly adopt collaborative teaching strategies, understanding students\' behavioral responses within these learning environments has become essential for improving academic performance and social development.
This study examines the behavioral responses of undergraduate students participating in collaborative learning environments and evaluates their influence on learning engagement, communication, teamwork, and academic achievement. A quantitative descriptive research design was employed, and data were collected from 300 undergraduate students enrolled in universities across the United States through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale.
The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26, applying descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, regression analysis, and reliability testing. The findings revealed that collaborative learning significantly enhances students\' classroom participation, interpersonal communication, problem-solving abilities, and academic motivation. Students demonstrating positive behavioral responses toward collaboration also reported higher levels of engagement and improved academic outcomes.
