Sleep hygiene is an essential component of healthy living and plays a significant role in maintaining physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. Healthy sleep practices, including maintaining a regular sleep schedule, creating a comfortable sleep environment, limiting screen exposure before bedtime, and avoiding stimulants prior to sleep, contribute to restorative sleep and improved daily functioning. However, modern lifestyles, academic pressures, occupational demands, and excessive digital device usage have increasingly disrupted healthy sleep behaviors, particularly among young adults. The present study investigates sleep hygiene practices and their relationship with overall health perceptions. A quantitative descriptive research design was adopted, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to participants. The findings indicate that individuals who consistently practice healthy sleep hygiene report better physical health, higher energy levels, improved emotional well-being, reduced stress, and more positive perceptions of their overall health. The study emphasizes the importance of promoting healthy sleep behaviors through health education, institutional wellness initiatives, and public health awareness programs. Strengthening sleep hygiene practices may significantly improve individual well-being and contribute to long-term health promotion.
