Standards of integrity, evaluation protocols, and governance
The International Journal of Behavioral Social and Movement Sciences (IJOBSMS) is steadfastly committed to upholding transparency, fairness, editorial independence, and academic integrity across all stages of scholarly publishing.
All submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated handling editor for relevance to the journal's scope, originality, academic quality, and compliance with author guidelines.
Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the academic merit of the manuscript, reviewer recommendations, and compliance with the journal's editorial policies. Where the Editor-in-Chief has a conflict of interest or is an author of the submitted manuscript, the decision is assigned to an independent editor.
Manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, or other journal personnel involved in editorial decision-making are handled by an independent editor who has no conflict of interest with the authors.
The submitting editor is excluded from all stages of the editorial assessment, reviewer selection, review communications, and publication decision relating to their own manuscript. For manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief, the independent editor is responsible for managing the review process and making the publication decision.
Such manuscripts are subject to the same peer review procedures, evaluation standards, and publication ethics requirements as all other submissions to the journal.
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, research integrity, relevance to the journal's scope, and established editorial standards, fully protected from commercial or third-party interference.
The International Journal of Behavioral Social and Movement Sciences publishes articles in English. All manuscripts submitted for consideration must be written in clear, accurate English.
Complaints and appeals concerning editorial decisions, peer review, publication procedures, or ethical matters are handled in accordance with the journal's established procedures.
