Digital citizenship encompasses a broad range of competencies, including digital ethics, online safety, information literacy, responsible communication, and privacy awareness, all of which influence students\' behavior in virtual learning environments. The present study investigates the relationship between digital citizenship and responsible technology usage behaviors among higher education students using a quantitative cross-sectional research design. Data were collected from 250 respondents through a structured five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The findings indicate that students with higher levels of digital citizenship demonstrate stronger responsible technology usage behaviors, particularly in digital ethics, online safety, privacy protection, responsible communication, and information literacy. Significant positive relationships were identified between digital citizenship and all behavioral dimensions, suggesting that digital citizenship education contributes substantially to responsible participation in digital environments. The study concludes that integrating digital citizenship into higher education curricula can strengthen ethical technology use, improve digital literacy, and promote safe online behavior. The findings provide valuable implications for educators, institutional leaders, technology developers, and policymakers seeking to foster responsible digital practices in contemporary education.
