Start SubmissionAll clinical trials conducted within India must be registered with the “Clinical Trial Registry – India” (CTRI). This is a mandatory requirement for ethical and transparent research reporting.
Trials conducted outside India may be registered with their respective national or international clinical trial registries recognized by the WHO or other regulatory bodies.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recommended making it mandatory to provide a registration number for all clinical trials submitted for publication.
Effective from: January 2009Authors are advised to ensure that the registration number is clearly mentioned in the manuscript under the "Materials and Methods" section or as a separate disclosure.
