Conception and design, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data.
Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
Final approval of the version to be published in the journal.
Important: All three conditions must be met. Acquisition of funding, collection of data, or general supervision alone does not justify authorship.
The naming order should reflect the relative contribution towards the study and manuscript writing.
Once submitted, the author order cannot be changed without the written consent of all contributors.
Only those who have performed substantial work in a particular field are eligible to write a review article. A short summary of the contributor's work in the field must accompany the manuscript.
Contributors are expected to provide updates as major developments occur, sent as a letter to the editor.
Each contributor must have participated sufficiently to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content.
